Lead the crowd with your Eagle spirit! Cheerleaders will work together to develop skills needed cheer on our youth football teams! ACS youth cheer is for girls who are ready to have fun and learn all about cheerleading, while fostering friendships and growing as leaders.

What is Youth Cross Country?
Cross country is a running sport in which athletes race across fields, grass, dirt, through the woods etc. Distance is determined by the age bracket in which athletes compete. The age cutoff date is December 31.
Is Youth Cross Country the same as the middle school Cross Country team?
No. Students in grades 6th-8th who run on the middle school cross country can choose to participate in the youth meets in addition to the regular middle school season (for a $35 fee to cover meet entry). Practice times and locations are the same.
When does cross country take place?
Practice ... Monday-Thursday (afterschool) 3:30-5:00; same as ACS middle school team
Regular Season Meets...Saturday mornings starting at the end of August through September.
*Athletes must run in 3 out of the 5 regular season meets to be eligible to run in the championship.
Extended Season (optional)
Any students who wish to compete at the state/national level.
Where does this take place?
Practice: ACS (meet on bleachers at track)
MeetS: North Georgia Youth Cross Country League (on Facebook)
Our youth runners, along with any middle school runners, will compete each Saturday in the NGYCCL. Most meets are at one of the following locations: ACS, Lamar Murphy Park (Jefferson), Banks County, YMCA. We may also run in some middle school meets (NEGA championship @ ACS on August 21, etc.)
How will my runner get to practice and meets?
Practice - 1st-5th grade runners will be picked up at the end of the Lower School hallway after school. Parents should meet at the track to pick up runners between 4:45-5:00 each Monday-Thursday.
Meets - Parents are responsible for bringing runners to meets and taking them home.
What does it cost to participate?
For 1st-5th grade ACS students and all non-ACS students(1st-8th grade), the registration fee is $75. This will cover a jersey and all regular season meet entry fees. For all 6th-8th grade students that are on the middle school cross country team, the registration fee is $35. This will cover all regular season youth meet entry fees.

The ACS Youth Football Program offers the opportunity for flag football in the 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade and tackle football at the 5th/6th grade levels. We look forward to the opportunity to invest in the life of your child through this program.
