FAITH & VALUES

ACS Core Values :

We value Scripture.

We are committed to the truth, inerrancy and authority of Scripture, and God’s Word serves as the foundation of everything we do in our ministry.  “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”  2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV).

We value Christ’s Kingdom.

We are committed to furthering Christ’s Kingdom and training our students to do the same.  “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”  Ephesians 4:11-13 (NKJV).

We value grace and truth.

We are committed to showing grace and truth to the students and families involved in our ministry, and to those outside of our ministry with whom we interact.  “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14 (NKJV).  “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”  2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV).

We value evangelism.

We are committed to missions and to sharing the truth of the gospel and the need of a Savior with the students and families involved in our ministry, and with those outside our ministry.  “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  Acts 1:8 (NKJV).

We value Christ-likeness.

We are committed to teaching our students to live as Christ lived.  “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”  1 John 2:6 (NKJV).

We value intellectual development.

We are committed to training our students to think about all things in light of Scripture.  “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy ¬– meditate on these things.”  Philippians 4:8 (NKJV).

We value servant leadership.

We are committed to equipping our students for a life of servant leadership.  “but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.  And whoever desires to be the first among you, let him be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”  Matthew 20:26-28 (NKJV).
